His interests in design began early, while living in California surrounded by the great Spanish missionary architecture prevalent along the coast and the Victorian style homes and inns scattered throughout the state. Kevin has studied in California, Mississippi and Florida where he received his degree from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale in Interior Design. He has done work as a Manager, Consultant and a Designer.
Through the years he has developed a great appreciation for the importance of design on everyday living. Through his European travels he learned to appreciate the importance of fine craftsmanship, vibrant color, beautiful fabrics, rich textures and their unique ability to seamlessly blend the old with the new. While living and travelling in Hawaii and Costa Rica he fell in love with both the Asian and tropical influences. Together, the combination of nature, European design and a simple Asian aesthetic have greatly influenced his style and approach to design.
Kevin spent many years in Florida, where he lived and worked as a well respected designer and showroom manager who’s designs not only inspired his clientele but set trends followed by designers throughout the country. In 1997, Kevin opened his own design firm Kevin Coffer Designs in United States and later Pacifica Interior Design Group in Costa Rica. Both companies were born out of the idea to bring the best quality of service and design to his clients.
Kevin is currently residing in New York City. HIs understanding of current trends in the design industry has fueled Kevin’s creativity and philosophy. His unique background in interior design, project management, showroom management, purchasing, product development, manufacturing and customer is a rare combination of talents.
“I’m proud to have earned the trust and respect of my peers and clients. They know they are in good hands and I work hard to make sure every project is completed on time and on budget. But most importantly, I’m excited to know my clients will enjoy living in a beautifully designed space that will stand the test of time.”
